With Winter in full swing here in Ohio, we are spending less time outside, and the sun is spending less time peeking through the clouds. Since the sun is our main source of vitamin D, what can we do during the harsh winters of Ohio to get more some vitamin D ? Here are some suggestions. Fatty fish Fatty fish like tuna, mackerel, and salmon are good for getting a healthy dose of omega-3 fatty acid but will also give you some vitamin D to help boost levels. Fish are some of the healthiest foods you can eat. They are relatively light in calories and high in nutrition. Beef Liver Beef liver is one of the healthiest foods you can eat. It isn’t one of America’s favorite foods, but the benefits of eating liver go beyond vitamin D. The liver is very nutrient-dense . In addition to vitamin D, you will also find plenty of vitamin B12, vitamin A, vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B9 (folate), iron, copper, and choline. Cheese Cheeses, especially those using vitamin D
