Why should you take supplements?

You may remember as a kid being told to take your vitamins. As adults, we can sometimes forget that advice and begin to wonder why we continuously get colds, feel run down and just are generally not feeling well. Supplements are meant to help make up for vitamins and other nutrients that may be missing in your diet. An excellent example is taking extra Vitamin D in the winter when there is less sunshine to allow you to absorb it naturally. Need more reasons? Here are some good reasons why you should be taking supplements on a regular basis. 1. Boost your immune system! Everyone around you is getting sick, but you are less likely if you are getting the right amount of vitamins in your diet. 2. Prevent injuries! Your muscles use vitamins too and the lack of them can allow strains, tears, and other injuries to occur more frequently. 3. Stay balanced! Your body is constantly processing nutrients.
